I have some images for the slider but no captions so I would like to disable the overlay. I figured if i just leave the captions field blank in the MAD panel it wouldn't show up, but it still does. Any ideas?
thanks!

Hello Franco and Welcome to the forums.
You can do that with a small CSS change, please open the layout.css file (on the /css folder of the theme files) and then look for this: .s3sliderImage span under this you should remove the background parameter: background: url(http://wpmadness.com/demo/typographic/wp-content/themes/typographic/images/s3_bg.png) repeat;
Once deleted, save the changes and re upload the file edited. if you don't have any caption then it should be working as you wish.
Let me know if that diid the trick.
Best regards,
Helios.
